The How & Why of Our Newest Project Bag
If you follow Andrea on Instagram or Youtube, you'll know that she LOVES to spin and has rallied a big group of fellow makers eager to learn the craft. But she had a problem.
She had no safe and stylish way to transport her favorite spindles.
That's where we came in. She reached out to us with the idea of creating the first ever bag designed specifically for spinners. She described everything she wanted in her ultimate spindle case/project bag.
And after almost a year of prototypes, trial and error, we turned that wish into reality.

This special edition spindle case comes embossed with Andrea’s signature slogan, “for the love,” a meaningful reminder of the passion and care we pour into our craft.
A Celebration of Artistry
The Collectif is more than just a spindle case—it’s a tribute to the collective effort behind every fiber creation. From the meticulous craftsmanship of woodworkers like Mike of The Spanish Peacock, who brings spindles to life, to the shearing, cleaning & carding of wool to make the batt, to indie dyers like Beata and her team who give the wool its beautiful colors, to the patient hand-spinning of the fiber into threads, to the creative and technical work of pattern designers like Andrea, to finally weaving the threads by knitters and crocheters to create the final piece. Every step honors the hands and hearts that make it possible.
We’re honored to contribute to this ancient ritual with our leather artisans, who have thoughtfully hand-crafted The Collectif to house your fiber as it transforms.

Collab For a Worthy Cause
If you know us by now, you'll know that we always seek to give back to causes close to our hearts. And when it comes to collaborations with fellow makers, we pledge to donate a portion of proceeds to causes close to THEIR hearts. And for Andrea Mowry, that cause is helping sick children and their families. She has been donating to these two organizations ever since her daughter, like so many other kids, received life-saving care at the C. S. Mott Children's Hospital.

- C. S. Mott Children's Hospital , which provides state of the art medical care to sick kids, while passing on invaluable knowledge to future generations of doctors and nurses
